The first major change to the New York Knicks logo in nearly thirty years happened in 1992-93. The general idea remained the same, KNICKS arched over a basketball, however the typeface was completely new, black was introduced in the drop shadowing, and now the entire logo was placed upon a silver triangle trimmed in blue. Three years later the Knicks would add NEW YORK to the top of this design.
