Seattle Seahawks Logo

Primary Logo (2002-2008)

What is the Seattle Seahawks Logo?

The Seattle Seahawks logo used from 2002 to 2011 shows the profile of a seahawk head facing right, similar to their earlier designs. The bird is depicted in navy blue with a prominent lime green eye and a blue stripe running across the lower half of the head. The overall design is based on traditional Northwest Coast Native art and was a modernized version of the original logo introduced when the team first joined the NFL in 1976. This version of the logo was used when the Seahawks switched to their Reebok uniform set in 2002 and remained in use until Nike’s redesign in 2012, when the blue stripe was replaced with grey. In 2009, the Seahawks slightly tweaked the shade of green used for the eye.

Notable Players of this era: Steve Hutchinson, Jerry Rice
