The Detroit Lions logo used from 2009 to 2016. The Lions continued to use a logo showing a Honolulu Blue-coloured lion from the side but for the first time in the 40-someodd year history of this design, the lion was given features - white eyes, a mouth, and a mane. The Lions logo remained outlined in white and black during this period before the team swapped out black for the more traditional silver in 2017.
