After 40 years, the New York Yankees updated their road jersey logo in 1973. The logo remained NEW YORK arched in midnight navy blue but was now trimmed in white. The Yankees would wear this logo on their road grey jerseys until 2023, making slight changes to the shade of road jersey grey several times during that span.
