The Toronto Maple Leafs logo is a mondernization of the logos used between 1938 and 1967. The logo shows a blue maple leaf featuring 31 points (representing 1931, the year Maple Leaf Gardens opened) and 17 white veins (for 1917, the first year of the franchise). Within the leaf is the club name in white with TORONTO arched over the vertically stacked MAPLE LEAFS.
