Interlocking tilted gold CU on a charging black buffalo with gold outline. The first change of any kind to the Primary logo in 24 years was made in 2005 when the CU Buffalo logo was tweaked. The buffalo is slightly tilted to the right to give it an in-motion appearance, and the interlocked letters were altered a bit for a cleaner look. The new buffalo is not the same as before but is nearly identical. Gold was altered for consistent use. NIKE and CU worked together on the changes.
