What is this Samford Bulldogs Logo?

Alternate logo of a gray bulldog in a proud pose resting on the SAM abbreviation in solid blue with a red period. The period places emphasis that the school is SAMford, not STANford. The typography is the same used since 2000. New spirit marks emerged from a nearly yearlong study on branding that the university conducted with the help of Seattle, Washington–based Dartlet Inc. The new bulldog spirit mark coincides with the 100th anniversary of the bulldog as the university`s official mascot and replaced a bulldog logo that was used for 16 years.
