What is this Texas State Bobcats Logo?

TXST secondary logo in maroon & gold. In August 2017, Texas State athletics introduced new abbreviation marks to help swerve the school from being known as TSU (abbreviations other schools use) to TXST. The design pays homage to both the current typeface and a previous SWT (Southwest Texas State) logo.
